Learn About How Wireless and Hardwired Security Systems Are Similar
Whether you install a wireless or hardwired system at your home or office, both of these will have a central control box that contains all the wiring for your protection devices, keypads, and phone connections.
Both of these systems will provide you with the high-quality security you need. However, there are some key differences in how each control box receives information from your devices. Read on to learn more about the differences between the two systems!
Our Hardwired Security Systems
If you get a hardwired system, each of your protection devices will have a cable that leads back to the control box.
All information, from each of your protection units, is sent via signals through this cable. This type of system takes a little longer to install than a wireless system; however, it's easy to care because it needs low maintenance.
Our Wireless Security Systems
With a wireless system, signals are sent to the control box via RF (radio frequency) rather than cables. In place of a cable installed to each device, we install RF transmitters in each door and window.
Your motion, glass, and smoke detectors contain RF signal transmitters as well. You’ll get a quick installation with wireless systems at about half the time of a wired system.
Our Cellular Back-Up Products
Your security system no longer has to rely on a phone line to communicate with the central monitoring center. Even if someone cuts your phone line, you'll still be safe with our cellular backup devices.
Use our cellular products to back up the alarm transmissions normally sent over phone lines to the monitoring center. The cellular system automatically kicks in if a burglar cuts your phone lines.
Use Our Cellular Service Rather Than VoIP Technology
As technology shifts, many individuals now use cellular phones in place of traditional landlines. Many individuals use Voice Over Internet Protocol (VoIP) technology as well.
However, be aware that this new phone service is not a reliable means of transmitting alarm signals. Instead, rely on our cellular services for trusted communication solutions. Call us to learn more about VoIP and for FREE estimates!
